In chrome on mac I get two Group Messages buttons.

hmm, yeah, I see that same thing in Chrome on Linux as well

This seems to fixed in recent dev-channel versions of Chrome (tested on 4.0.249.30 on Mac and 4.0.249.22 on Linux, and I get only one "Group Messages" button now for each case).
