I think the interface would be more usable if instead of saying:

   Error: Bad value Content-Type for attribute http-equiv on XHTML element meta.
   From line 5, column 47; to line 6, column 69
   C)</title>↩<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />↩<link

...it just said:

   Error on line 5: Bad value Content-Type for attribute http-equiv on XHTML element meta.
   C)</title>↩<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />↩<link

While the exact position is useful information in some cases, most of the time it just makes the page extra noisy, IMHO.
